Cebu province is situated right in the middle of the Philippines. This famous tropical island and thriving city is an economic, educational, cultural, and tourism powerhouse. But for now, we will be focusing on the tourism aspect of Cebu, Philippines. Thousands and thousands of visitors visit this paradise island every year. Whether it be for business or pleasure, people keep coming back nonetheless.
Investment opportunities, mind-blowing beach resorts, marvelous tourist spots, beautiful women — these are just some of the many reasons tourists travel to Cebu regularly. Some also visit in hopes of finding love or meeting women they have already interacted with online. Either way, it’s highly advisable that you acquaint yourself with some of the most romantic spots in the province. The following are just five of the many destinations in Cebu that are ideal for meeting women or for you to bring your partner on dates:
- Pescador Island. Pescador Island is in Tañon Strait — few kilometers off the coast of Moalboal in the south of Cebu Island. It is one of the best diving spots in Cebu. Its island reef is a sandy slope covered with soft coral from 5–10 meters (15–35 ft).
Further, there is a wall covered with hard corals dropping down to about 40 meters (130 ft). In that wall are tons of different species of colorful sea creatures, including sharks . Better to prepare your underwater camera to capture its beautiful corals and different marine species.
Another main tourist attraction that is getting popular in this location is the Sardine Run. You can swim with millions of Sardines (also known as Herring), which is totally amazing. Therefore, brace yourself to experience the magnificent beauty of the underwater.
2. Oslob Whale Sharks. On the other side of the island is where you can experience swimming with the Oslob Whale Sharks, locally known as the “Tuki”.
Oslob Municipality is known for old churches and beautiful beaches but became more popular because of the gentle giants — the Whale Sharks.
Local fishermen would interact with the whale sharks by feeding them…until large number of tourists began to arrive in Oslob to see the whale sharks being fed. As a result, these tourists snorkel or dive with the whale sharks.
Oslob Whale Shark watching is one of the top in the bucket lists of tourists who visit Cebu because of the rare experience. Most note worthy, when ever you have a close encounter with the Whale Sharks, it is not allowed to touch them.
3. Tumalog Falls
Few kilometers away from the whale shark attraction is the Tumalog Falls. It is also situated in the municipality of Oslob. Locals call this body of water, the “Toslob Falls” or “Mag-ambak Falls”.
Tumalog Falls is a curtain like waterfalls that covers the entire cliff with cool and clear water. Moss embraces the rocks of the cliff which filters the water and gives a curtain effect. It is one-of-a-kind and definitely stunning.
4. Sirao Flower Garden. Also referred to by locals as the “Little Amsterdam of Cebu”, this flower garden became viral just two years ago. Locals and tourists came to this location in great numbers that some areas of the garden were damaged due to being trampled on. Thankfully, these have been fixed and are now being closely monitored. If you want a picturesque view and a place that creates picture-perfect, romantic moments, Sirao Flower Garden is the place to be!
5. · 10,000 Roses Cafe & More. This tourist spot is a fairly new one, but is slowly becoming one of the more popular areas in Cebu. The establishment doesn’t exactly consist of 10,000 actual roses, but artificial, electric ones. They are lit up at night, creating a more romantic setting for couples who are enjoying the atmospheric ambiance under the moonlight. This place is also directly by the beach so not only will you have the artificial roses to enjoy as a view, but the ocean and sunset as well. Food and drinks are also served in the area.
6. Moalboal. This part of Cebu has some of the best beaches in the province. Two of the most popular ones are Panagsama Beach and White Beach, which are just minutes away from each other. Snorkeling and island hopping are what you can look forward to in Moalboal. So if you’re even slightly interested in the call of the ocean, you should answer that call in Moalboal.
7. Cebu Ocean Park. This place is currently the biggest Ocean Park in the country. Though it has just recently opened, it’s been running smoothly and more people continue to flock towards it every day. The establishment has about 10 sections that feature aquatic and safari wildlife. There are also restaurants and stalls inside if you’d like to have a bite to eat during your visit.
8. · Bantayan Island. This place is peaceful during the day and incredibly romantic at night. Book a night at any of the resorts on Bantayan Island and it will be a romantic getaway for the ages. Enjoy the sound of the waves crashing into the shore at night as you and your partner share a glass of wine. A fine experience like that every now and then will surely strengthen your romantic relationship even more.
10. Sumilon Island Sandbar
Still in Oslob is the small but picturesque Island of Sumilon where you can appreciate the sandbar. With its clear azure waters and pristine white sands, Sumilon Island’s sandbar is very popular.. It mimics a photogenic and mesmerizing tropical paradise that lures all types of travelers.
Bluewater Resorts owns the island; hence, spending the night in the island is not allowed unless you are checked-in at Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort.
But not to worry, they provide day trip tours which include lunch and activities such as snorkeling, hiking, fishing, paddling and many more.
